Cherie Kimmell studied art at California State University Channel Islands and with Glen Orbik at the California Art Institute before moving to Nashville and continuing her education at Southgate Studios in Franklin, TN. With backgrounds in both abstract and representational art, her work includes a variety of media, notably oil paint, charcoal, and pastel. Her current interest lies in exploring Figurative Realism combined with elements of design and abstraction, bridging the gap between the traditional and the contemporary.
